When a trip is designed for a group or school a price will be quoted.  This price is per student and is quoted in New Zealand dollars or converted to your local currency.  This quote is valid for 30 days.  This price is fixed when the initial deposit is made.  For more information please see exchange rate below. Sequences of payments Minimum of 3 months in advance of travel date 10 % deposit required when booking is confirmed.  This is non refundable.  *If schools choose the Total Package including flights it may be necessary to pay a further 10% deposit for flights as early as possible to confirm seats.  You will be well informed about this and the earlier flights are confirmed the better (3-4 months is best). Minimum of 6 weeks before the departure date Further 20% of total trip costs due. Minimum of 2 weeks before departure Balance of Land Package/Total Package due in full. Trip costs are quoted in New Zealand dollars. If you would prefer that LBK quote trips in your own currency, this is possible for $S or $HK or Japanese Yen $US. Exchange Rate If you choose to pay for your New Zealand experience with Little Brown Kiwi in a currency other than $NZ you need to be aware of the Exchange Rate Clause below. Exchange Rate Clause With the fluctuations in the exchange rate having such an impact when paying for something in another currency, LBK has come up with a simple solution to ensure both sides are protected. If the $NZ strengthens against your currency by more than 5% between the time the trip is confirmed and the time the final payment is due, the cost of the trip may increase.  This cost – above the 5% threshold will be passed on to the school/parents. Alternatively if the $NZ weakens by more than 5% between the time the trip was confirmed and the time the final payment is due, this makes the trip less expensive. A refund of all money above the 5% threshold will be given to the school/parents.  Basically this will mean that LBK will absorb up to a 10% fluctuation in currency exchange.
