Henry’s interest in outdoor education and adventure was sparked as a 16 year old after spending a week at the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre of New Zealand. The positive impact of these early outdoor experiences encouraged Henry to return to 'OPC' 16 years later, in 2007, to complete a 12-week residential leadership course in outdoor education.

Henry has taught in schools mainly in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Before joining Little Brown Kiwi, Henry spent nearly half his teaching career running a PE department and gained experience in senior management before embarking on the ‘Little Brown Kiwi’ adventure. 

Henry is the Executive Director for Little Brown Kiwi. He lives in Wellington with his wife and two sons.
