LBK trips use coaches from the very best bus companies in New Zealand. Little Brown Kiwi uses ‘Murphy’s Buses’ for its North Island Adventures. They provide high quality coaches with comfortable seats and large windows. Their drivers are very experienced and are always very popular with the students. More information about Murphy’s Buses can be found at www.murphybuses.co.nz. In the South Island we use a variety of coach companies. We always ensure that the vehicles we use have comfortable seats that allow for great viewing of the spectacular scenery. Driver/vehicle safety is our absolute priority when selecting a bus company. A support vehicle usually travels with each trip. This is to ensure, in the event of an emergency, immediate evacuation is possible from any location. From time to time, because of group size or the nature of an activity, we may also travel in minibuses. Experienced LBK staff will drive these. Other transport could include boats, yachts and trains. An optional feature of the Southern Compass trip is a coast-to-coast trip on the Trans Alpine Express. Crossing the Southern Alps from the west coast to the east, this train trip is rated as one of the best “10 Train Trips” in the world. More information can be found at www.tranzscenic.co.nz. For information about our Milford Sound Overnight Cruise go to http://www.realjourneys.co.nz/Main/OvernightCruises/. Another unique form of transport which has been employed by LBK, is the chartering of a sailing ketch (yacht) in Akaroa from www.akaroafoxsail.co.nz. |
